A “poke” is basically someone trying to get your attention It’s one of the meaningless features that are used just to annoy someone. Facebook poke feature was a fun one until users got worried of what it really meant.The confusion led to the point that many users abandoned using it. Mind you, friends of friends can poke you. Hence, you shouldn't expect to see pokes from friends alone.
